Beyond Skin Deep Diagnoses

Dry skin, eczema and practically all skin conditions are just the tip of the iceberg; they signal an internal imbalance that most often originates in the gut microbiome. This is why these skin conditions have been associated with autoimmune disorders. Remember that the microbiome is 70% of your immune system. Giving a skin rash a name does not explain its cause. Prescribing a steroid cream only treats the symptoms. This is especially true of acne and atopic dermatitis, the most common skin disorders.

Best to think of skin rashes as a shot across the bow. Take heed; change your diet and rebalance your microbiome.
